After being told by another Autism assessment provider that we would have to wait at least 9 months to get an initial consultation even though we would be a paying customer, and that would not guarantee us getting an assessment for our 16 year old daughter, I was delighted to find Dr Thakur who was so efficient and very professional. Dr Thakur and her team have been exceptional, nothing is too much trouble, she knows that you just want to get on with the assessment and does everything in her power to ensure that, she has so much passion for this job. Her team are just as enthusiastic and professional, even though we live an hour's drive from where they are based, both the speech and language therapist and the clinical psychologist drove to our house to carry out the assessments, and one of those sessions on a Saturday. This team definitely go the extra mile! The outcome of the assessment was very swift, Dr Thakur contacted us with the diagnosis and sent us a very thorough 31 pages report of the outcome of the assessment with plenty of recommendations of what we need to do next. An amazing service that I feel so lucky we found her. I have already recommended her to a friend who has been waiting forever to get an appointment at CAMHs. Thank you so much Dr Thakur!

We found ourselves in the middle of a very long wait for a NHS appointment for an assessment for our son. So we decided to look privately and we were so very fortunate to be recommended to Dr Thakur via our sons speech therapist. Dr Thakur has been truly amazing from the very beginning, starting from a very prompt reply to my first enquiry, to two weeks later for a 90 minute phone consultation, where I found Dr Thakur to be very friendly, extremely understanding, incredibly knowledgable & so wonderful at listening. This appointment was then followed a week later for a face to face appointment for our sons assessment. During that time, Dr Thakur had read up on all the information on our son from reports provided by his speech therapist and NHS paediatrician that we’d sent her. Dr Thakur truly understood our son & we found her to have the same thoughts & concerns we have as his parents. Dr Thakur has given us amazing support & advice on what steps we need to take next for our son moving forward. From our initial appointment four weeks ago, we’ve had two appointments and we finally now have a diagnosis for our son and his report . We feel our son is in the best care with Dr Thakur and we would highly recommend this truly amazing lady to anyone who needs help for their family in this journey. Thank You Dr Thakur for everything you’ve done for us.

After a frustrating time trying for an NHS referral to assess my son I decided to look for a private assessment. I was lucky enough to find Dr Thakur at my local Spire hospital and would definitely recommend her. From the very start of the process from the initial phone calls, to the face to face appointment, she has been personable, friendly, informative and very efficient in responding to any queries. We rang around several local paediatricians and psychiatrists when we first started our search and Dr Thakur stood out immediately for her personable, warm and friendly approach on the phone. Dr Thakur could offer us an appointment the week that we rang, and we really appreciated how quick and efficient the process was after years of trying to get help. Dr Thakur is very knowledgeable and within less than two weeks we have already had two appointments and been able to get the diagnosis that we so needed, plus medication prescribed. The assessment report was really thorough and explained in detail why the diagnosis was made. Thank you so much for making a difficult process so much easier for our family.

During what was already the incredibly difficult time of lockdown during COVID-19, Dr Thakur has been an immense support for us in finding a diagnosis for our child. We were recommended to her in order to find out what learning difficulties they may have had; and after a 90 minute call she was able to give us our first answers. After this initial call, she invited us to a socially distanced evaluation. Combing these two appointments she was able to complete a very detailed report, allowing us to start accessing so many resources we never thought we could, to help support our child going forward. She explained every step to us throughout the process and has continued to be supportive ever since. We would highly recommend her to other families.

Dr Thakur and her multidisciplinary team where very thorough, attentive and extremely quick at organising an assessment for our sons difficulties. Despite the current times with COVID-19 the plan was clear and its evident for Dr Thakur this ain’t just a job but a passion. I was hugely impressed by attention to detail and ongoing communication. All lot of effort went in from our side, which Dr Thakur was hugely appreciative and supportive of which made the process even smoother, it’s a two way process of both Dr Thakur and parents. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dr Thakur to anyone looking for support or assessment for their child, any age. We used various telephone consultations, tele-ped (video) and gave to face sessions before a final report was product in record time. Our sons was diagnosed with Autism, ADHD Along with sensory difficulties and attention and listening difficulties. I’m confident that moving forward Dr Thakur and her team have given fantastic recommendations of support, and moving forward wouldnt hesitate to seek further review and advice form Dr Thakur if and when required. Thanks for all your assistance and making the process as painless as possible and ultimately assisting us in ensuring Olly is fully supported moving forward.
